Job Summary
Collect and consolidate maintenance data within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) while supporting on-site preparation and coordination of maintenance activities. Roll out new maintenance methodologies in collaboration with field technicians and enhance work instructions, checklists, and quality assurance procedures for contractors. Contribute to the implementation of maintenance policies and best practices for new cryogenic assets as part of the HL-LHC project. Perform interventions in underground installations and work in radiation areas, requiring a valid driving licence and medical clearance. This role supports the organisation of Long Shutdown 3 for the cryogenics infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Basic mechanical and electrical skills
- Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Understanding of maintenance documentation
- Demonstrated teamwork
- Safety awareness
- Problem-solving
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow established procedures
- Motivation to learn and develop new technical competencies
- Spoken and written English or French
- A valid driving licence
- National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- Maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field)
- Highest educational qualification is a general secondary education diploma
- Never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before
- Medical clearance
