Maintenance Support Associate

Job Summary
Conduct cleaning duties and operate Bales and compactors using proper equipment and procedures. Troubleshoot electrical issues on conveyor systems, shrink-wrap machines, and dock levelers with appropriate test devices, making determinations when vendor support is needed. Perform general maintenance on facility equipment including compressor checks, emergency generator tests, and security door repairs. Oversee day-to-day Day Porter activities by scheduling, assigning, and reviewing daily work tasks. Follow up on outside contractor work through review, inspection, and sign-off of completed work orders. Remove snow from walkways and maintain facility grounds to ensure an attractive public appearance.
Required Qualifications
- Driver License + car
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- MHE certification is an asset
- Familiar with fire suppression systems and backup generators an asset
- Able to operate a variety of cleaning machines (floor sweepers, polisher, vacuums, dusters)
- Knowledge of proper safety precautions when working with electricity and machines
- Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds
- Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet
- Good physical coordination and manual dexterity is required to climb ladders, and to use tools to conduct on-site repairs of equipment
- Physical effort is required to use the computer to access and record information
- Willing to learn TMS continuously
- Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge of proper building practices
- Handymen experience an asset
- Some computer knowledge is an asset
- Minimum of three (3) months related experience required
