Job Summary
Maintenance Supervisor responsible for the implementation and close supervision of the preventive maintenance system to preserve and upkeep buildings and equipment, supervise Maintenance Technicians, manage resident maintenance requests, ensure timely vacancy preparation and re-rental, provide emergency coverage, conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds, supervise staff performance and training, manage the maintenance shop and vehicle, oversee purchasing and inventory, assist in budgeting and bid processes, and coordinate with the Community Manager on inspections (REAC, management reviews, local inspections) and safety/compliance initiatives. Requires on-call availability, strong communication, and a current license/certificate in at least one building trade (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, fire protection or mechanical). Schedule is Full Time, 8:30am–5pm, Monday–Friday, with on-call duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of supervisory experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be available to be on-call for nights and weekends
- Maintains current license/certificate and/or specialized skills in building trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, fire protection or mechanical)
- Knowledge of OSHA, fire prevention and safety regulations
