Job Summary
Maintenance Supervisor oversees technical and mechanical work to ensure Greystar community buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet safety, appearance, and functionality standards. Responsibilities include handling resident service work orders, making routine repairs, managing the make-ready process for vacant units, inspecting and approving contractor work, maintaining inventory, completing monthly preventive maintenance, assisting in budgeting and cost-control, and coordinating with vendors and the Community Manager. Must demonstrate customer service, strong communication, and adherence to safety policies, including OSHA and MSDS requirements, with EPA-certified HVAC work as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or related experience and training
- Experience in property management maintenance or related trade
- Own hand tools (unless prohibited by State law)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Proficiency with basic computer tools (internet, word processing, spreadsheets, databases)
- EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal (for HVAC work)
- Valid driver's license (for golf-cart operation, if applicable)
- Able to stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 25-50 pounds
