Job Summary
Coordinate general maintenance for the apartment community, including repairs, troubleshooting, apartment turnover, and preventative maintenance. Respond to all on-call emergencies and complete follow-up on unresolved tickets while inspecting grounds and buildings daily to identify tasks and minimize liability. Work with the Property Manager to ensure functions are performed promptly, manage outside contractors, and obtain competitive bids for expenses. Use general maintenance equipment safely and adhere to fair housing, OSHA, and safety standards. Requires HVAC certification, basic electrical and plumbing diagnostics, and flexibility for off-hour emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in apartment maintenance including basic electrical & plumbing diagnostics/repair
- HVAC certification required (universal)
- Have basic tools for the trade
- Provide a valid driver license, and have reliable transportation
- Have the flexibility to occasionally respond to 'off-hour' emergency situations and resident concerns
- Candidates will be required to pass a credit & criminal background check and drug test
