Job Summary
Maintenance Supervisor at Greystar responsible for overseeing and performing technical and mechanical work to ensure building exteriors, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. Manages make-ready processes for vacant units, inspects work, coordinates vendors/contractors, maintains inventory, conducts preventive maintenance, assists in budgeting, and upholds safety policies (OSHA) and regulatory requirements. Requires hands-on maintenance skills, EPA HVAC certifications, tool proficiency, strong customer service, and ability to work a flexible schedule including on-call time. Location is Waterwalk at Shelter Cove in Hilton Head Island, SC; schedule is Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with rotating on-call, with potential travel within site and local travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
- Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
- Incumbents must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law and must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.
- EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal if the position requires working on a sealed HVAC system to test system pressures, handle refrigerants, etc.
- Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on the property, if applicable.
