Job Summary
Oversee maintenance technicians and mechanics to ensure equipment, machinery, and facilities operate in optimal working condition. Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs while creating procedures and schedules to minimize downtime. Supervise daily operations by assigning tasks, conducting regular inspections, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. Manage inventory and procurement of parts, supplies, and PPE to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery. Enforce OSHA safety protocols and respond quickly to emergency maintenance needs with minimal operational disruption. Communicate directly with management to resolve service requests and provide technical expertise as a bridge between senior leadership and workers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate or technical degree in a related field
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- At least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS software
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed
- Requires standing, walking, lifting, and occasional work in confined spaces or heights
