Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversee daily maintenance of the facility, production equipment, and machinery, including HVAC, electrical installations, and groundskeeping. Supervise staff by scheduling work, assigning tasks, and managing hiring, training, and performance issues. Develop preventive maintenance schedules, inspect projects, and coordinate third-party contractors while managing vendor contracts and expenditures. Respond to emergencies and direct repairs to ensure safety and alignment with production demands. Prepare records, enter invoices, and provide input for the operating budget. Participate in weekly management meetings to share project status. This first-shift role (7am–3pm) supports Stryten Energy's expansion of battery poly manufacturing and recycling output in Columbus, IN.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma with Industrial Maintenance coursework
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, including knowledge of PLCs, HVAC systems, and electrical and mechanical equipment
- Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, MEP
- Proven technical aptitude for electrical and mechanical equipment
- Understanding of Industrial maintenance systems
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Able to handle multiple tasks and create a sense of urgency for completion of tasks
- Independent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with budgeting, Continuous improvement / Lean management, Performance Management
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements as they pertain to this facility
- Able to work all shifts
- Ability to follow all environmental, health and safety procedure
- Proven satisfactory work history (attendance and performance)
- Must maintain regular attendance
- Must follow instructions
- Must understand workplace materials
- Must communicate with others
- Must be available in case of emergency
- Must be able to lift and carry items in excess of 50 lbs
- Must be able to move about in the workplace utilizing ladders, catwalks, and scaffolding
- Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, crawl, and stoop regularly
- Must be able to travel as required to meet business needs
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Discipline preferred
