Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary
Conduct weekly inspections of assigned apartment buildings in Manhattan, the Bronx, and Brooklyn to ensure quality standards and address municipal violations from agencies like HPD, DEP, and FDNY. Supervise superintendents and porters to ensure timely work order completion, coordinate vacant apartment turnovers to protect rental income, and manage all physical plant systems including plumbing, heating, and electrical. Respond to emergency situations on-call, train maintenance staff, and oversee preventive maintenance reporting within the Yardi system. Assist the property management team with inspection readiness and review building reports to identify necessary repairs. Represent the organization professionally with residents and vendors while adhering to a strict weekly schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least three years of building maintenance experience in a large residential setting
- Must possess good interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of boiler, façade, plumbing and heating elements
- Driver License

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Proficiency in Yardi

- Highly organized, detail oriented and self-motivated
- Ability to manage other employees in a high paced dynamic atmosphere
- Excellent written, oral and email communication skills
