Job Summary
Oversee daily maintenance operations for apartment communities in Jamaica Plain, MA, managing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, painting, and groundskeeping. Coordinate vendor and contractor paperwork while responding to resident maintenance needs and capital improvement projects. Provide on-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays. Requires high school diploma, valid driver's license, and minimum five years of facilities maintenance experience with supervisory skills. Compensation ranges from $30 to $32 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
- Excellent customer service skills
- Prior experience in the facilities maintenance field
- On-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends and holidays
- Skilled in routine apartment maintenance
- Ability to handle administrative tasks and paperwork related to vendors/contractors
- Ability to respond and remedy maintenance issues in a timely manner
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum of 5 years related job experience
- Supervisory experience
