Job Summary
Oversee and perform technical and mechanical work to ensure inside/outside buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and functionality. Responsibilities include handling resident service work orders, diagnosing defects, completing make-ready processes for vacant units (including pre-move-out inspections and punch-list creation), coordinating vendors/contractors, maintaining inventory and supplies, supporting budgeting for repairs and capital projects, and enforcing safety policies per OSHA/MSDS guidelines. The role requires ensuring quality workmanship, supervising other service team members and contractors, and upholding customer-service standards with residents and team members.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training
- Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade
- Incumbents must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law and must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, mechanical equipment and measuring devices
- Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems
- Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively interact with residents, clients, team members, and other business contacts
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent company management in a support capacity
- Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs in order to maintain records of information and develop and provide information for the manager’s use
- Property management system experience preferred
- Mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, decimals, and fractions in order to review and complete various financial, administrative, and legal documents
- EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for HVAC systems (if applicable)
- Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property (if applicable)
- State and Local jurisdiction certification requirements
