Job Summary
Supervise, schedule, and support maintenance staff and porters while coordinating work orders and preventive maintenance programs. Conduct routine property inspections to identify safety issues, train and evaluate technicians, and manage vendor relationships. Respond promptly to emergency requests, maintain records and inventory controls, and ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Collaborate with community managers to prioritize tasks and assist in budgeting and cost management. This role requires a valid driver's license, ability to work flexible hours including weekends, and knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in residential property management or related field
- Supervisory or leadership experience
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Proficient with maintenance management software and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
Desired Qualifications
- Certification or training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related trades
- OSHA safety certification
