Job Summary
Complete service requests within 24 hours and handle daily maintenance/repair for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and building systems. Diagnose issues, manage inventory, obtain vendor bids, and ensure preventative maintenance is scheduled and performed proactively. Supervise maintenance staff by interviewing, hiring, training, and directing work while enforcing EPA and OSHA regulations for hazardous materials. Maintain courteous interactions with residents and vendors, and remain available for 24-hour emergency calls. Travel between properties as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three years related experience in apartment maintenance or related field
- Up-to-Date EPA Universal Certification
- Up-to-Date HVAC Certification
- Must be available and willing to answer 24-hour maintenance emergency calls
- Ability to operate standard maintenance equipment in a proper and safe manner
- Travel is required between properties
- This is a drug-free workplace
