Job Summary

Lead a multi-disciplinary maintenance team in a heavy-industrial power-generation environment, ensuring all work adheres to safety standards and regulations like NERC and NFPA. Manage day-to-day activities, including work-order scheduling, backlog monitoring, and the execution of major outages for boilers and turbines. Own the Long-Term Maintenance Plan, oversee spare parts inventory, and develop budgets while collaborating with procurement and operations. Provide direct supervision to mechanics, welders, and technicians, driving continuous improvement through Lean and reliability tools. Requires 7-10 years of experience with CMMS platforms; rotating shifts and on-call support are mandatory.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant maintenance experience
  • Proven supervisory/managerial experience leading maintenance teams
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of power plant equipment, including boilers, gas and steam turbines, rotating machinery, electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Skilled in maintenance management systems (ALM, MMM, Experion, PeopleSoft)
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Thorough understanding of work management processes, preventive maintenance, reliability, mechanical integrity, and quality assurance practices
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial management related to maintenance
  • Knowledgeable in applicable safety, environmental, and labor laws and regulations
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams and external professional organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to identify root causes of failures and implement sustainable solutions
  • Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, competitive, and fast-paced environment
  • Experience writing maintenance procedures, contractor scopes, and purchase requisitions

  • Experience with CMMS platforms, including PeopleSoft, Maximo, NS5, or comparable systems
  • Be available for rotating shifts, weekends, extended hours, and on-call support as required, especially during critical outages

Desired Qualifications

  • ideally in manufacturing, power plants, chemical processing, or industrial environments
  • Waste-to-Energy experience
  • Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering degree
