Job Summary
Lead the maintenance team in optimizing production output and ensuring seamless equipment functioning through daily plant tours, work order follow-ups, and PM program management. Coordinate repairs, downtime scheduling, and parts ordering while assisting mechanics with reporting duties and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues. Fill in for the Maintenance/Engineering Manager during absences and report daily on crew activities and equipment status. Will train side by side with the Engineering Manager to become the replacement in 3-5 years.
Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent education
- Five (5) years mechanical experience or equivalent training
- 3-5 years as a lead or Supervision in a Maintenance department
- Ability to work with minimal supervision within a team environment
- Good practical sense working with and troubleshooting equipment problems
- Team player
- Good communication skills
- Leader in team spirit
- Ability to set good examples for others to follow
- Self-starter and have the ability to detect and troubleshoot problems and carry out the proper repairs
- Knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electricity, industrial refrigeration, the baking process, sanitation and quality control
- Basic understanding of fabrication skills such as welding, cutting, grinding and machine work
- Follow all GMP's
Desired Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- Previous food manufacturing experience is preferred
- Skill at Troubleshooting PLC systems is preferred
