Maintenance Supervisor - Plastics Manufacturing

Job Summary
Lead and support daily maintenance operations to ensure equipment reliability and production efficiency at the Lynchburg facility. Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, manage hot work permits, and coordinate contractors for repairs and project installations. Develop preventive maintenance programs, prioritize work orders, and oversee facility upkeep, property, and grounds. Mentor Maintenance Technicians, complete administrative reporting, and evaluate new chemicals and materials. Requires a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree with 3-5 years of manufacturing experience. Full-time role with competitive compensation, benefits, and PPE in a fast-paced plant environment.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
- Experience working with manufacturing equipment, maintenance systems, and facility operations
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental practices in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Preventive and predictive maintenance principles
- Manufacturing equipment troubleshooting and repair
- Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Contractor coordination and project support
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Maintenance documentation and reporting
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
- Required use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, safety footwear, hard hats, and other protective equipment as required

- Experience supporting facility and capital improvement projects
- Experience working within a safety-focused manufacturing operation
