Job Summary
Assist Community Manager in hiring, inspecting, counseling, and promoting staff levels, while teaching skills and scheduling work to maintain a safe environment. Ensure common areas are safe, in repair, and clean, performing preventive maintenance for pools, parking lots, and building exteriors. Make capital improvement recommendations, order parts as needed, and respond to all service requests within 24 hours. Visit competing properties to inspect maintenance quality. Maintain the property in high-quality condition while operating within approved budget and educating staff on OSHA guidelines. Requires hands-on knowledge of apartment maintenance, leadership skills, and HVAC certification within 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on working knowledge of typical apartment maintenance tasks
- Leadership skills and ability to deal effectively with customers/residents
- Basic knowledge of HVAC
- CFC certification within 90 days of employment
- One year as a Maintenance Supervisor with professional management firm or six months assistant with Peak Living
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to communicate in English
- Must be available for weekends
- Must be available for after hour emergency services
