Job Summary
Maintenance Supervisor on the night shift leads maintenance technicians to support a 24/7 dairy/food production operation. Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing maintenance work, supervising both maintenance and capital projects, and coordinating with plant engineering to improve equipment reliability, safety, and production quality. The role involves hands-on technical support during equipment failures, root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and implementing corrective actions. The supervisor develops and delivers training, enforces safety and food-safety policies, and manages documentation and paperwork. Requires five years of industrial maintenance experience in Dairy/Food/Beverage, plus supervisory experience, knowledge of boilers, refrigeration, PLCs, electrical systems, and familiarity with GMP and OSHA standards. Strong leadership, communication, and planning skills, and proficiency with SAP/Microsoft Office and maintenance planning software are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years industrial maintenance experience within Dairy, Food, and/or Beverage industry
- Minimum of 1 year of previous lead or supervisory experience preferred
- Working knowledge of boilers, refrigeration, PLCs, electrical, cooling towers, ammonia compressors and packaging equipment
- Skills in electronics, instrumentation and electrical systems and troubleshooting, reading electrical schematics and ladder logic
- Ability to translate technical knowledge into practical, hands-on instruction for maintenance technicians at varying skill levels
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices
- Ability to follow Safety/Security Policies and Procedures and Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures
