MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR NIGHT SHIFT

Job Summary

Lead the night shift maintenance team, prioritizing repairs, coordinating preventive maintenance activities, and assigning work orders based on production needs. Supervise five or more employees to ensure safe, efficient completion of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues while maximizing equipment uptime. Troubleshoot complex failures, enforce safety procedures, and investigate incidents to implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate records, manage shift staffing and overtime, and communicate equipment status during shift transitions. Ensure all activities comply with USDA, OSHA, and food safety standards. Available for nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-ins in a poultry processing environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Food manufacturing maintenance experience
  • 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3 years of supervisory experience leading a maintenance team of five (5) or more employees
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial processing equipment
  • Experience troubleshooting conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, and automated production equipment
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as production needs require
  • Must be available for emergency call-ins and equipment breakdowns when necessary
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces and around moving machinery while following all safety procedures
  • Required to wear all designated personal protective equipment (PPE)

Desired Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance work order systems
  • Previous experience supervising maintenance in a poultry, meat processing, or other food manufacturing facility
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Knowledge of USDA regulations, HACCP, GMPs, and food safety standards
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and production efficiency
