Maintenance Supervisor - Night Shift

Job Summary
Lead and manage a team of industrial equipment technicians on a Tuesday through Saturday night shift, overseeing maintenance and automation of all plant equipment. Develop preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime, troubleshoot repairs, and ensure accurate documentation of activities. Collaborate with engineering teams to identify automation opportunities, implement efficiency solutions, and manage vendor relationships and spare parts inventory. Conduct regular safety audits, train staff on compliance, and prepare performance reports for leadership. Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required. This role supports Altium Packaging's mission to deliver reliable, cost-effective rigid plastic packaging solutions across North America.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience (3+ years) in industrial equipment maintenance and/or automation within the plastic industry
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing technical teams
- In-depth knowledge of industrial automation systems, PLC programming, and robotics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in industrial settings
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and data analysis tools
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as needed
- Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs
- Ability to perform a standing job for 12 consecutive hours
- Ability to move, adjust, and position anywhere from 10 to 45 pounds
- Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp for varying periods of time during a consecutive 12-hour period
- Ability to move between buildings regardless of weather conditions
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the plastics industry, equipment and processes is a plus
