Job Summary
Plan, organize, and direct the overall operation of the Plant Operations and Maintenance Department, including engineering, maintenance, groundskeeping, and janitorial services. Direct staff in fulfilling project assignments within budget and on schedule while assuring required training in hazardous materials and OSHA guidelines. Maintain safe working conditions, monitor staff adherence to safety and infection control policies, and ensure participation in fire safety and disaster preparedness drills. Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs, written policies, and fiscal management for department operations including budget preparation and forecasting. Supervise contractors, review billing for accuracy, and inspect facilities to identify needed improvements and repairs. Provide 24-hour coverage and rotate calls with department staff regularly.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of management experience, preferably in healthcare-related environmental services
- A minimum of five (3) years of experience within the environmental services field
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written skills
- Experience with training methods and techniques
- Must provide proof of legal status to work

- Schedule: M-F, 8 am -4:30 pm, Occasional Weekends
- Pay Rate: $22.00/hr
