Job Summary

Oversee inspection, maintenance, repair, and performance of electrical, instrumentation, control, and mechanical systems at the Bowline Point Generating Station. Lead compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental programs, administer the Permit to Work program, and supervise union maintenance personnel through performance evaluations and corrective actions. Develop and manage daily through long-term maintenance plans, including preventive, predictive, and outage activities, while coordinating contractor support and monitoring quality and costs. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems including transformers, switchgear, and the Valmet Distributed Control System. Maintain accurate equipment histories, prepare performance reports for leadership, and assist with budgeting and technician training. Work a standard Monday to Friday day shift with extended hours, weekends, holidays, and on-call availability.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
  • Valid, unrestricted U.S. driver's license
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or a technical discipline
  • Demonstrated leadership supervising maintenance personnel within a power generation, industrial manufacturing, or other heavy industrial environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems used in power generation or comparable industrial facilities
  • Proven ability to develop and execute preventive, predictive, corrective, and outage maintenance programs that improve equipment reliability and plant availability
  • Working knowledge of electrical distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, motors, motor control centers, and related equipment
  • Proficiency supporting Distributed Control Systems (DCS), PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial control systems
  • Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements, Permit to Work (PTW) programs, and safe maintenance practices
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities, contractors, and cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated success using CMMS, maintenance planning tools, equipment history, and reliability data to support informed maintenance decisions and continuous improvement
