Job Summary
Oversee maintenance operations for the community by leading, scheduling, and training team members while coordinating service requests, preventive maintenance programs, and repair activities. Perform and supervise repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and carpentry; conduct inspections of apartment homes, common areas, and grounds to identify needs. Manage apartment make-ready operations for vacant homes, coordinate with vendors and contractors for capital projects, and maintain accurate work order records. Respond to emergency situations as part of the required on-call rotation and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety regulations. Requires valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to work flexible schedules including after-hours emergency response.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or vocational training
- Three or more years of building, facilities, apartment, or property maintenance experience
- previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and general maintenance practices
- HVAC certification
- trade certifications in electrical, plumbing, or related fields
- Ability to read diagrams, technical manuals, work orders, and safety documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
- Valid driver's license
