Job Summary
Oversee building maintenance and staff for multi-family properties, leading teams in appliance, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs while managing preventative maintenance programs. Respond promptly to service requests within 24 hours, plan apartment turns for new residents, and monitor outside contractors to ensure scope and schedule compliance. Maintain organized shop inventory, oversee grounds and janitorial staff for curb appeal, and ensure all team members adhere to safety guidelines and fair housing training. Work on-call, including weekends, holidays, and emergencies, while maintaining proper logs for site operations.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to follow directions and to see tasks through to their conclusion
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ Years of maintenance management experience
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Extensive experience with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems as well as painting, drywall repairs, and general carpentry
- HVAC EPA 608 Universal Certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb and work on ladders
- Ability to work with arms raised overhead
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to bend at the waist and knees to lift boxes, appliances, furniture, shovel snow, etc.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
