Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary
Direct and utilize direct reports to ensure plant equipment operates effectively, completing timely preventative maintenance, repairs, and updates across plumbing, electrical, and industrial services. Maintain accurate inventory of shop supplies, welding tools, and service records while managing controllable expenses within an agreed budget. Supervise various employees by interviewing, training, assigning work, and appraising performance to resolve worker grievances and address complaints. Enforce all safety rules, investigate unsafe conditions, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment. Manage maintenance of plant buildings, grounds, and internal facilities through staff and subcontractors. Work within a manufacturing environment requiring physical capability to lift 50 lbs and perform varied tasks.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience or training in maintenance related field
- 2+ years of management experience
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including being physically capable of maneuvering throughout, work area, product, and equipment
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Basic math skills
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
