Job Summary
Direct and manage the plant maintenance department, ensuring equipment operates effectively and repairs are completed timely. Maintain accurate inventory of shop, welding, and small tools while overseeing preventive maintenance schedules and building grounds upkeep. Supervise various employees across plumbing, electrical, and industrial servicing, conducting interviews, training, and performance appraisals. Enforce safety protocols, investigate injuries, and resolve worker grievances or property damage issues. Work within an agreed budget to meet production demands in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience or training in maintenance related field
- 2+ years of management experience
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including being physically capable of maneuvering throughout, work area, product, and equipment
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Basic math skills
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
