Job Summary
Maintenance Supervisor role at Greystar's Lakeview Villas overseeing and performing technical and mechanical work across the community to meet Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. Responsibilities include handling resident service work orders and routine upkeep, diagnosing defects, completing the make-ready process for vacant units, scheduling vendors, maintaining inventory and materials, overseeing inspections of contractor work, ensuring compliance with safety and code requirements (OSHA, MSDS), and contributing to budget development and cost-control efforts. The role requires EPA HVAC certifications (Type I/II or Universal), high school-equivalent education, tool proficiency, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training
- Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade
- Incumbents must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law and must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, mechanical equipment and measuring devices
- Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems
- Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills to interact with residents, clients, team members, and other business contacts
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent company management and answer questions related to department operating policies
- Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs; property management system experience preferred
- Mathematical skills to perform basic arithmetic for financial, administrative, and legal documents
- EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal (for HVAC work)
- Certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions
- Valid driver's license (to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable)
