Job Summary
Comply with all Health & Safety rules, immediately report hazards, and adhere to company procedures for maintenance and operations. Assign work to team members, maintain accountability for schedules and productivity, and ensure tasks meet specifications, tolerances, and quality standards. Operate small-scale equipment, maintain conveyors and related machinery, and complete required shift documentation. Report maintenance issues to the Plant Manager or QC Manager with detailed timelines and costs. Train and support other employees as needed. Perform other duties assigned by the Plant Manager. This hands-on role supports daily maintenance and welding activities within the facility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4+ years of Maintenance, fabrication, and/or welding experience in a manufacturing or precast environment
- Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Demonstrated ability to guide workflow and support team members in a shop environment
- Reliable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe boots
- Ability to work in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment with regular exposure to dust, noise, extreme temperatures, and moving machinery
- Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting
- Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, or outdoors
