Job Summary
Lead and manage a maintenance staff at the property on a day-to-day basis, overseeing operations, preparing work schedules for staff and vendors, and conducting weekly meetings. Perform hands-on maintenance activities, maintain the preventive maintenance program and curb appeal, and complete monthly building and unit inspections. Review third-party property inspections to resolve repairs and solicit bids from contractors with approval. Participate in on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies, adhering to a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00AM to 5:00PM with a rotating two weeks on, two weeks off duty. Assist in hiring, developing, and training staff while ensuring the physical condition of the 280-unit Plymouth Square Village property meets ownership objectives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience
- General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)
- CAMT certification
- Experience with computer systems, particularly Microsoft Office
- Excellent customer service skills
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding supervisory skills
- Ability to manage and work with a diverse group of people and personalities
- Availability for on-call activity during off-hours for urgent needs
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational or technical training
- HVAC, asbestos, or lead-based paint certification
- Experience changing and repairing hot water tanks
