Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary
Schedule, train, and supervise maintenance personnel while prioritizing work orders to ensure timely completion. Perform property and equipment inspections, establish preventive maintenance programs, and prepare units for rent availability including painting and landscape work. Support the after-hours Emergency Call program, manage company-owned equipment, and correct unsafe conditions in compliance with all safety rules. Prepare purchase orders for parts and supplies, assist the Maintenance and Community Directors, and contribute to resident retention programs. Requires driving for the company and valid EPA 608 and OSHA-10 certifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- 4-6 years experience in building maintenance
- DL NUMBER - Driver's License, Valid and in State
- EPA 608 Certification
- OSHA-10 Training
- Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of different people in a variety of situations
- Basic understanding of safety practices
- Requires use of technology platforms on a daily basis
- Perform work outside in all weather conditions and perform physical work, as well as to lift weights of up to 50 pounds regularly and above 50 pounds occasionally
- Requires a self-motivated team player who pays close attention to detail and who can prioritize in a fast-moving environment
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced training or degree in building maintenance, management, construction, skilled trades, or other related subject
- Previous experience with administrative reporting and Yardi
- Previous experience managing others
- Have knowledge of the following trades/skills: electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance
