Job Summary
Oversee and coordinate the maintenance staff at HELP USA facility in Brooklyn; responsibilities include training porters, visually inspecting plant systems, performing repairs, responding to emergencies on a 24-hour call, ensuring OSHA compliance, and managing inventory. Requires hands-on maintenance experience, knowledge of electrical, boiler, and plumbing systems, and strong organizational skills. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus; valid US driver’s license a plus; computer literacy with Microsoft applications a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent OR equivalent experience and skills.
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or two years’ experience as an Assistant Supervisor for Maintenance.
- Must have a basic understanding of electrical wiring, boiler mechanics, and plumbing.
- Must have strong organizational and administrative skills.
