Maintenance Supervisor (Environmental Services Supervisor Maintenance)

Job Summary
Conduct daily inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify necessary maintenance and repairs. Perform general maintenance tasks including light, electrical, painting, and carpentry while replenishing supplies and ensuring tools are clean and stored properly. Maintain a preventative maintenance log and work-order system, reporting hazardous conditions immediately. Assist with general housekeeping, cleaning up after events, and arranging furniture to ensure resident comfort. Submit weekly invoices and spend-down reports to the Environmental Services Director. Work weekends and holidays as assigned, with potential for extended shifts up to 16 hours per day.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Knowledge of maintenance and housekeeping policies and procedures
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing maintenance functions in the Community
- Understanding of practices surrounding proper handling of biohazardous waste
- Competency in the performance of duties and responsibilities through the utilization of sound judgment
- Ability to report unusual problems/conditions to the Environmental Services Director
- Valid Driver's License
- Commercial Driver's License (preferred)
- Ability to bend and reach
- Ability to push and pull and lift up to 60 pounds at times
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively write simple correspondence
- Basic familiarity with computers
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Associates
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as assigned
- Ability to work on shifts other than the one for which hired
- Ability to work extended hours (up to 16 hours per day)
- Ability to be subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including HIV, AIDS, and Hepatitis B and C viruses
- Ability to be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and extreme heat
- Ability to pass background, criminal, and drug tests
- Ability to submit to random drug test during employment
