Job Summary
Execute all day-to-day maintenance activities in the mill while supervising the mechanical trades team. Adhere to company safety and environmental policies, coaching the team on leadership values and assignments. Ensure equipment availability and reliability through preventative and predictive maintenance, participating in team-based problem-solving for operational issues. Maintain accurate work history documentation in the Maintenance Management System and monitor departmental Key Performance Indicators. Requires a degree or Red Seal certification, five years of supervisory experience, and the ability to work evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline, or a Red Seal certification in a relevant trade
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance or manufacturing environment
- Ability to work evenings and weekends when required
- Certificate of Conduct from a local police agency or the RCMP
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a pulp and paper environment
- Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Technology experience
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate team members
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
