Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary
Supervise all repairs, installations, and modifications while directing department activities to ensure high-quality productivity and safety practices. Provide leadership to team members through training, scheduling, and performance evaluations, and maintain critical spare parts inventory. Work with Operations to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiencies by monitoring the preventive maintenance program and assisting in plant project planning. Develop department policies and procedures, and attend site as scheduled, including travel to Corry/Warren Plants. Requires willingness to work off hours, weekends, and all operating shifts. Reports to the Facilities Manager at Ellwood National Forge's Irvine location.
Required Qualifications
- Technical or Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a commensurate level of related experience and education
- Minimum of 5 years experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical and/or electrical repair within a steel manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
- Experience with preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints including GD&T tolerancing
- Strong Math skills and problem solving ability
- Ability to work well with a team and other departments while also working independently
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Results oriented with a focus on organization and prioritization
- Familiarity with Syteline, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be willing to work all operating shifts as deemed necessary based on business needs
- Must be able to travel to the Corry/Warren Plants
- Must be available for off hours, weekends and all operating shifts
Desired Qualifications
- 3 – 5 or more years direct supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prior Management/Leadership/Supervisory classes/training
