Job Summary
Maintenance Supervisor responsible for maintaining the entire living center building and grounds in compliance with Life Safety Code, Fire Services, licensing regulations, and local ordinances; duties include managing life safety drills, fire safety systems, preventive and routine maintenance, completing work orders with priority on emergencies, supervising contractors, maintaining documentation for compliance, and participating in on-call and events; requires experience in maintenance of residential/institutional properties, ability to read/write, attention to detail, independence and teamwork, and preferred experience with senior populations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance of apartment or senior care, health care or other “residential/institutional” properties
- ability to read, write and carry out directions
- maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Experience with senior population helpful
- Ability to work with frail elderly or elderly with dementia
- LIFE SAFETY: ensure compliance with Life Safety Code, emergency and life safety drills, fire safety systems, inspections, regulatory compliance
