Job Summary
Maintenance Supervisor responsible for leading and executing safe preventative and predictive maintenance, as well as repairs for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, general equipment, mobile equipment, and other facility systems at the Entwistle Plant. Responsibilities include maintaining mechanical and operational assets, managing spare parts inventory, tracking maintenance and contractor work via the work order system, implementing production and service standards, planning and executing site maintenance activities safely, collaborating with operating departments to assess and improve plant reliability, driving continuous improvement with Root Cause Analysis, and utilizing the PO system for purchases while seeking process efficiencies. The role emphasizes leadership, safety, coaching and developing maintenance teams, and ensuring maintenance work aligns with budget and company goals.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in Maintenance, preferably within the Bio-Energy or Wood Products Manufacturing sectors, or a combination of experience and education
- A proven track record of successfully leading technically trained teams, with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate team members to achieve their objectives
- Background as an Engineer, Technician, or Certified Tradesperson, ideally with strong expertise in Millwrighting, Electrical, or Heavy-Duty Mechanic fields
- A valid Driver’s License is required for employment
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, both personally and by positively influencing all stakeholders
- Proven leadership and influencing abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively engage with diverse individuals
- Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects safely, on time, and within budget
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in using personal computers and business applications, including the Microsoft Suite of Products, D365 ordering system, and other maintenance-related software
