Job Summary
Supervise maintenance employees across a 24-hour, 7-day operation to ensure effective delivery of services and production support. Plan, assign, and direct work while addressing product and employee complaints, resolving problems, and managing both maintenance and capital projects. Utilize mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems, utilities, buildings, and grounds, ensuring refrigeration, electrical, steam, and compressed air systems remain operational. Optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventative maintenance and a computerized maintenance management system. Complete all paperwork including maintenance records, incident reports, and investigations, while maintaining technical documentation on PLCs, instrumentation, and equipment. Monitor and enforce safety, food safety, and regulatory policies with employees, contractors, vendors, and suppliers. Evaluate personnel skills, develop training programs, and manage performance for the maintenance team.
Required Qualifications
- minimum of five (5) years industrial maintenance experience within Dairy, Food, and/or Beverage industry
- previous supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of boilers, refrigeration, PLCs, electrical, cooling towers, ammonia compressors and packaging equipment
- Skills required in electronics, instrumentation and electrical systems and troubleshooting
- reading electrical schematics and understand ladder logic
- Ability to calculate basic mathematical equations and formulas
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices
- Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures
- Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Maintenance Planning software
- SAP
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs
