Job Summary
Direct, coordinate, and facilitate repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, equipment, buildings, grounds, and electrical systems. Manage proactive maintenance programs for all plant machinery, develop preventative schedules, and audit facilities for safety hazards to correct OSHA violations and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices. Lead a team of up to 15 union technicians, manage training and discipline, and oversee maintenance and repair spending within budget constraints. Participate in troubleshooting, continuous improvement initiatives, and capital projects while ensuring compliance with HACCP, BRCGS, and AIB standards. Work onsite at the Louisville manufacturing facility during day shifts to support 24/7 operations, with availability for off-shifts and weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology, or related discipline with 1 year of maintenance supervisory, lead, and/or team support experience, OR at least 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing team members
- Proven ability to monitor, analyze, and improve maintenance performance metrics to drive results
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to drive process improvements
- Demonstrated ability to promote and enforce safety standards within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to resolve issues in a timely, organized, and cost-efficient manner
- Demonstrated knowledge of computers
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) with the ability to learn technologies and systems
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and lead a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proactive, self-directed, independent worker, with self-confidence
- Availability to support off-shifts, weekends, and urgent maintenance needs as required
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus
