Job Summary
Conduct daily property walk-throughs to ensure equipment functionality and aesthetic standards while monitoring contractor work and handling escalations. Manage a team of two or more by interviewing, hiring, training, and directing staff performance in accordance with Castle Group policies. Execute the hurricane preparedness plan, respond to emergencies with 24/7 on-call availability, and maintain safety protocols including OSHA training and proper PPE distribution. Prepare and implement preventative maintenance programs, manage inventory and purchasing within budgetary constraints, and submit detailed inspection reports to the Property Manager. Requires 4+ years of supervisory experience, valid driver's license, and ability to work extended hours, weekends, and varying environmental conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- 4+ years as a Maintenance supervisor or similar position
- Basic knowledge of relevant regulations and codes governing maintenance activities such as safety, environmental and building codes
- Prior experience managing and leading a team
- Driver's license
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50lbs. following appropriate safety procedures
- Ability to work in an upright standing position for long periods of time
- Ability to crawl in small and tight spaces
- Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain)
- Ability to walk and climb stairs
- Ability to stoop and bend
- Extensive use of fingers for typing and visual use of the computer monitor
- Ability to handle, grasp, feel objects and equipment
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to quickly and easily navigate property/buildings
- Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms
- Ability to hear, understand and respond appropriately to verbal requests made in person and over the telephone
- Visual ability correctable to 20/20
- Ability to respond verbally in an understandable, professional manner in person and over the telephone
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain composure and utilize good judgement during emergency/difficult and stressful situations
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends if needed
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights above ground level
Desired Qualifications
- HVAC, CPO and/or OSHA certification or other certifications
- Intermediate command of computer hardware/software, specifically Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to help create effective customer-focused relationships with all levels within the organization
- Able to work under tight deadlines and use time effectively based on key priorities

- This position requires some travel to purchase or pick-up materials/supplies or attend off-site training sessions
