Job Summary
Conduct daily maintenance inspections, repairs, and preventative schedules for buildings, equipment, and grounds while ensuring strict adherence to fire safety and hazardous chemical procedures. Supervise Housekeeper Aides to maintain sanitation standards in resident rooms and common areas, manage inventory controls, and coordinate transportation functions including resident mobility support. Monitor building systems, oversee third-party vendors, and assist with move-in/out logistics and special events. Maintain records supporting supply and labor costs, ensure the department operates within budget parameters, and interpret Department of Community Health regulations. Be available on-call for after-hours emergencies and crisis management. Requires a high school diploma, three years of maintenance experience, an excellent driving record, and full use of physical senses for occasional heavy lifting.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma (or GED)
- at least 3 years of experience in a maintenance-related field
- An excellent driving record
- Must have compassion and desire to serve senior adults
- Must be able to do routine arithmetic calculations
- Must be able to understand the processes and equations necessary to perform duties
- Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, well enough to give instructions, relay information, and carry on effective interchange with reporters and other staff
- Must have full use of eyes, ears, and full power of speech
Desired Qualifications
- A vocational or Trade School degree in a maintenance-related field
