Job Summary
Supervise Engineering Technicians and lead daily operations of the engineering department, partnering with Engineering Manager and Assistant Manager on leadership and planning. Perform safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA, GHS, and fire codes while managing vendor operations and contractor relationships. Request bids for presentation to resort management and support financial aspects of the department. Ensure the engineering team meets Internal, Quality, and Loss Prevention Audit standards. This role requires HVAC, electrical, and plumbing certifications, OSHA and EPA certification, and three years of related work experience including one year of supervisory experience. Located at Club Wyndham Mountain Vista, this position offers comprehensive health benefits, 401k with match, and paid time off for associates working 30+ hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Certification in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
- CPO and CPR
- OSHA Certified
- EPA Certification
- Valid driver's license
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
- Three years of related work experience
- One year of supervisory experience
- One or more years in mechanical fields such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing
Desired Qualifications
- Strong contractor and vendor negotiation skills
- Knowledgeable in safety use for power tools and shop tools
- Knowledgeable and experience with pool pumps and filtration systems
- Knowledgeable in ADA requirements
- Working understanding and ability to read blue prints
- Knowledgeable in fire codes and fire protection
- Demonstrate analytical ability to grasp numbers and understand their impact
- Strong and proven strong leadership ability
