Job Summary
Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they meet health and safety standards. Perform maintenance of electrical systems, including replacing light bulbs, cleaning circuit breaker panels, and repairing HVAC, ventilation, and refrigeration units. Maintain heating and plumbing systems while inspecting fire and protection alarm systems to schedule necessary repairs. Execute manual repairs such as fixing locks and replacing windows, and conduct general upkeep procedures including landscaping, painting, and carpentry. Undertake pest control activities like spraying insecticide and assist in budget preparation to ensure financial compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
- High school diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)
