Maintenance Supervisor (Chemical Production)

Job Summary
Lead the maintenance department for a large chemical manufacturing facility by coordinating projects, directing technical activities, and managing the Preventative Maintenance Program to reduce downtime. Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and production equipment while investigating failures to implement preventative measures. Support capital projects, analyze utility expenditures to optimize efficiency, and direct product design changes consistent with Management of Change procedures. Conduct annual performance evaluations, coach employees using company tools, and ensure compliance with organizational best practices. Apply engineering principles to process design and utilize SAP applications for system-driven solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of additional related experience in lieu of a 4-year degree
- A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with plant safety practices, chemical processes, equipment maintenance, statistical applications, and equipment operations
- Knowledge of the practical application of sound engineering and chemical plant practices
- Knowledge of arithmetic, statistical methods, 'Lean' concepts, ISO procedures, and their applications
- Ability to apply Excel, Word, and SAP applications to daily job responsibilities with an emphasis on system driven solutions
- Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs
