Job Summary
Maintenance Supervisor responsible for daily maintenance tasks, including preparing vacant units, overseeing preventative maintenance, and scheduling. Leads and assists in interviewing and training service, housekeeping/custodial, and grounds personnel; ensures tool and equipment readiness; manages MSDS logs and inventory; drives process improvements and enforces OSHA safety standards. Oversees vendor work, maintains supplies, and ensures timely 24-hour response to service requests and on-call coverage. Supports evictions-related lock-outs and snow/ice removal; collaborates with the community manager to ensure high-quality property operations and safety. HVAC and CPO certifications are preferred. Excellent communication and supervisory abilities are required to effectively manage the maintenance team and vendor relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Property maintenance/maintenance person experience
- Supervisory experience preferred
- HVAC and CPO Certifications preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools
- Self-motivated with attention to detail
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts
