Job Summary
Lead maintenance operations for the facility, hiring, training, and supervising the maintenance team; conduct and document fire system inspections and monthly fire drills; develop and implement a preventive maintenance program; inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, boilers, water systems, laundry equipment, and generators; manage supplies and equipment within budget; supervise external contractors; ensure safety, functionality, and regulatory compliance; train staff on job duties and safety procedures; coordinate department staffing according to census needs and labor budgets.
Required Qualifications
- Has facility maintenance experience (healthcare or long-term care preferred)
- Understands HVAC, boiler, water, and emergency systems
- Can implement and manage a preventive maintenance program
- Demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills
- Can manage supply ordering and departmental budgeting
- HVAC experience preferred but not required
