Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, fire protection, material handling and storage equipment, and facilities to ensure safe, efficient operations; oversee sanitation and food-safety compliance; manage outside contractors, schedule preventive/corrective/emergency maintenance, maintain maintenance software and logs, monitor budgets, and provide leadership and coaching to a team of up to twenty colleagues; ensure safety, regulatory compliance (OSHA, HACCP), and effective interdepartmental communication while driving continuous improvement and adherence to company policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree preferred or four-year college degree
- Four (4) years supervisory maintenance experience, preferably in ammonia refrigeration
- Certification on material handling equipment required or ability to become certified
- Electrical and refrigeration licenses preferred
- Ammonia Refrigeration Operator II certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations
- Basic math and computer literacy
- Ability to pass a functional capacity test
- Must be at least 18 years of age
