Job Summary
Maintenance Supervisor responsible for leading the on-site maintenance operations at a Lansing apartment community. Oversees service requests, unit turnovers, and preventive maintenance; manages the maintenance team, coordinates with vendors, and ensures safety, building codes, and compliance. Requires 2–3 years of residential maintenance experience with supervisory experience, strong communication, leadership, and broad technical skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry; familiarity with property management systems (Yardi/AppFolio) is a plus; on-site duties with an on-call schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in residential maintenance, including team leadership or supervisory experience
- strong communication skills to interact with residents, vendors, and team members
- familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance practices
- working knowledge of property management systems (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio) is a plus
- EPA certification, HVAC license, or other relevant credentials are a plus
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
