Job Summary
Manage maintenance staff by setting daily direction, priorities, and schedules. Maintain, build, and complete a preventative maintenance program to minimize emergency repairs while overseeing curb appeal and coordinating with vendors. Detect deficiencies in buildings and grounds, delegating necessary actions to ensure units are ready for move-ins. Complete maintenance work orders efficiently and safely, responding to after-hours emergencies as part of an on-call rotation. This role works directly with the Community Manager to manage the maintenance budget and achieve property goals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience with property management maintenance
- 1+ years of supervisory experience
- Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, appliance, heating, air-conditioning, and many other areas of repair
- EPA Certification Type II or universal
- certificate/license with CAMT
- certificate/licenses with OSHA and CPO
- Written, verbal, and oral communication skills
- Budget knowledge
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of property management systems such as Yardi, SightPlan, etc.
- Pass criminal background screening prior to employment
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- up-to-date vehicle insurance
