Job Summary
Directs and administers the property-wide maintenance program, supervising maintenance personnel, managing budgets and invoices, coordinating purchasing and service requests, and ensuring safety compliance. Responsibilities include carpentry, masonry, painting, HVAC, appliance repair, pool maintenance, preventive maintenance scheduling, and coordinating with the Property Manager on projects and expenditures. Requires HVAC certification, a Virginia driver’s license, and strong supervisory, budgeting, vendor-management, and communication skills; must be capable of coordinating training, supervising staff, and handling on-call emergencies in a demanding property-management environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- HVAC Certification
- Virginia Driver’s License and proof of insurance
- Technical training in one or more trades, or 2-3 years of maintenance experience
- Ability to supervise others and manage building maintenance
- Excellent communication and motivational skills
- Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends; drive and perform manual labor as required
