Job Summary
Manage, direct, and perform maintenance services for the community, including interior and exterior repairs, groundkeeping, and equipment maintenance for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry. Respond to resident service requests and maintenance concerns in a timely manner while supervising maintenance associates through recruitment, training, and performance appraisals. Schedule preventative maintenance, report budget-impacting issues to the manager, and ensure compliance with housing laws and safety standards. Perform on-call emergency procedures as required. Full-time Monday through Sunday schedule with rotating on-call responsibilities; HVAC certification and supervisory experience required.
Required Qualifications
- High School degree or equivalent
- 2-5 years previous maintenance experience
- HVAC, EPA and/or CPO certifications
- A valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Understanding and ability to repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and mechanical systems
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and e-mail
- Must demonstrate ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Must demonstrate ability to successfully work on a team
- Must be able to clearly communicate both orally and in writing
- High degree of flexibility and tolerance for change
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people and customers
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required
- Must be HVAC certified
- Knowledgeable of state, local, and federal housing laws, codes, policies, and systems regarding maintenance
- Knowledgeable of state, local, and federal fair housing laws
- Must follow all safety/OSHA requirements
- Must be available for weekends and holidays
- Must be available for on-call responsibilities
- Must be available for rotating on-call responsibilities
- Must be able to work Monday-Sunday
